Audits
- Automated WCAG rules
- Assisted review
- Colour contrast
- Alternative text quality
- Alternative text checked against the image itself
- Audio and video
- Interactive states and flows
- PDF accessibility
- Office document accessibility
- Compliance status and evidence
- The visible label and the accessible name differ
- ARIA contradicts the element or its real state
- Reading, focus and visual order disagree
- Alternative text contradicts its surroundings
- The accessibility statement claims more than the site delivers
- What looks like structure is not marked up as structure
- Desktop and mobile give different access
- The document alternative is not equivalent to the page
- A script overlay hides problems that remain in the source
- The same function is named differently across pages
Findings
- The alternative text names something the image does not show
- The image was replaced and the alternative text stayed the same
- The image contains text that the alternative text does not give
- Alternative texts that are missing, are file names or placeholders, or are too long
- The alternative text says almost the same as the caption
- ARIA attributes contradict the element or what is on screen
- An email or phone field in an account form has no autocomplete purpose
- Status per WCAG success criterion across the site
- The same component, icon or destination has different names on different pages
- Text contrast failures reported by the scanners
- Controls differ between the desktop and the mobile rendering
- Failures that only show after a menu, dialog, accordion or form is used
- The Tab order does not follow the order on screen
- A linked document differs from the page that links to it
- A control marked disabled still works, a field marked required is not checked, a dialog comes last in the Tab order
- The visible label of a control is not part of its accessible name
- Layout and markup disagree: unmarked lists and tables, text missing on mobile, blocks moved by CSS
- Questions only a person can answer, open or answered with "fails"
- Audio and video without captions, transcript or a way to stop them
- A language or image model doubts an alt text, a control name, a document or the statement
- Motion keeps running with reduced motion on, or a dark page flashes white while loading
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint files without headings, alternative texts, table headers or language
- A sticky header, banner or chat button hides the focused element or catches clicks meant for a link
- An accessibility overlay changes what the scanners find
- The overlay's own widget has accessibility failures
- PDF files that are untagged, scanned, or fail the document checker
- Long PDF files without bookmarks, and PDF pages whose tag order differs from the page
- Low contrast of controls, icons, focus indicators and PDF text, measured from pixels
- A form field gets its name from the placeholder only
- The same image has different alternative texts
- An accessibility failure, graded by how many scanners report it
- Items the scanners cannot decide and hand to a person
- The accessibility statement does not match what the scan finds
- Text that looks like a heading without heading markup, and heading markup on long text
