What it costs you
Search engines and screen readers use headings as the outline of the page. Gaps and empty headings make the page harder to understand and to move through.
What to do
Give the page one h1 that names its subject, and let the other headings follow in order without skipping a level.

How to fix it
Repair the outline in the template or the content
- Check the template_id: a problem on every page of one template is fixed in the template.
- Use exactly one h1 for the page subject. Change a logo or site name marked up as h1 to a plain element.
- Go down one level at a time: h2 under h1, h3 under h2.
- Remove headings without text. Use CSS for spacing and for large text that is not a heading.
