SEO finding
Several pages share the same h1
SEO Warning Severity: Low
Part of the audit Headings. Finding id: seo.duplicateH1.
What it costs you
The h1 tells visitors and search engines what a page is about. The same h1 on several pages makes them look like copies of each other.
What to do
Give each page an h1 that names its own subject. If the h1 is the site name or a slogan from the template, change the template.
What it checks
- Same main heading on other pages
How to fix it
Make the h1 specific to the page
- Check the template_id of the pages in the group.
- If the template prints a fixed h1, let it print the page's own name instead.
- For paginated lists, add the page number or mark page 2 and later as not indexable.
How to check: Recrawl the site: the group is gone.
