What it costs you
The link does nothing or fails for every visitor. A link to a local address also shows outsiders a name from your internal network.
What to do
Give the link the public address it was meant to have, or remove it.
What it checks
- Link address empty or malformed
- Link points to a local computer path
How to fix it
Correct the address
- Find the link on the page with the selector in the evidence.
- Replace the address with the public https address of the target.
- If the link text is a placeholder with nothing to link to, turn it into plain text.
- If all pages in the finding share a template_id, the link is in the template.
How to check: Recheck the page: the link no longer appears in this finding.
