QA finding
Sample policy: a required element is missing or a forbidden element is present
QA Warning Severity: Medium
Part of the audit Custom policies. Finding id: qa.policyRequiredElement.
What it costs you
The page breaks a rule your organisation set for all its pages. What that costs depends on the rule: a missing legal link, an embed that sets cookies, a component that should have been replaced.
What to do
Add the required element or remove the forbidden one. If most pages fail, the template is the place to change.
What it checks
- Your page element rule matched
- Required element missing from page
How to fix it
Bring the page in line with the policy
- Open the page and look for the selector in the browser's element inspector.
- Add the missing element, or replace the forbidden one with the allowed form.
- If pages of one template fail together, change the template.
How to check: Recheck the page: the policy passes.
