• Sitemap page is marked not to be indexed entry_is_noindex
• Sitemap page is blocked in the robots file entry_is_blocked_by_robots
• Sitemap page redirects elsewhere entry_redirects
• Sitemap page names another preferred address entry_is_canonicalised_elsewhere
• Sitemap page returns an error entry_returns_error
• Sitemap date newer than any real change lastmod_newer_than_any_detected_change
• Same sitemap date on every page lastmod_identical_on_all_entries

Findings

• The sitemap lists a URL that the page itself says should not be indexed
• The lastmod dates in the sitemap do not match what changed on the pages

What this relies on

The page state is deliberate and the sitemap is stale, unless most of a section is affected.
